Should have listed my 3 gratitudes for the day last night... 1) Im grateful for my family, and to be near most of them again after five years away. Kathy watched out for Mason at the Moral Monday rally yesterday, and Olivia and John took him home for a sleepover. Thanks much, fam. 2) Im grateful for Rev. Dr. William Barber and the movement he leads. We have responsibilities to each other as citizens and as humans, and Rev. Barber does an amazing job of articulating those and inspiring us to do what is needful. 3) Im grateful for cool August mornings in the mountains that burn into warm, green days. This afternoon Im going to pick Mason up from school early and take him up to Sally Jones Pottery in Montreat to play with clay a bit. Looking forward to that.
