Should the Canadian federal government spend tax dollars on a religious agenda by promoting directly and/or indirectly a religion? Does Canadian democratic society include religious political agendas? Should the mandate of federal elected officials including the Prime Minister include a religious agendas? The Canadian Constitution 1982 (Article 2) says that all Canadians have a right to freedom of religion. Does a religious agenda about particular religion run counter to the Canadian Constitution and overall acceptance of all religions within reason? Does a religious agenda run counter to the implicit secular nature of the federal government? Thoughts?
