Shoulder Work Scheduled Tonight Near Route 63 Bridge Over Stadium Work Will Divert Traffic Over On/Off Ramps COLUMBIA, Mo. – Southbound traffic on Route 63 at Route 740 (Stadium Boulevard) will be diverted over the exit and entrance ramps at that location tonight to allow some unscheduled work to be performed on the shoulders near the bridge that carries Route 63 over Stadium. The contractor working on the Route 63 bridge rehabilitation project, APAC-Missouri of Columbia, will reconstruct a portion of the shoulder that was damaged due to high traffic volumes caused by the maintenance work. The traffic diversion will begin at 7 p.m. tonight (Wednesday, April 16) and end at 6 a.m. tomorrow (Thursday, April 17), when motorists will again be able to travel over the bridge. However, travel will remain limited to one southbound lane due to the bridge rehabilitation work. Motorists should expect travel delays in the area throughout the bridge rehab project. MoDOT advises drivers to use alternate routes around the bridge, allow extra time for their travel especially during peak travel times and adjust their travel schedules, if possible. The entire bridge rehabilitation project is scheduled for completion by Memorial Day. For more information about these projects or other transportation-related matters, please call 1-888-ASK-MoDOT (275-6636) or visit modot.org/central. Follow the MoDOT Central Missouri District on Facebook for project updates.
