Show and Tell I Samuel 24:11 Moreover, my father, see, yea, see the skirt of thy robe in my hand: for in that I cut off the skirt of thy robe, and killed thee not, know thou and see that there is neither evil nor transgression in mine hand, and I have not sinned against thee; yet thou huntest my soul to take it. God will deliver your enemy into your hand. What you do with your enemy is up to you. God will never hold you accountable for how your enemy treats you, but he will most definitely hold you accountable for how you treat your enemy. David spared his enemy’s life. King Saul sought to kill David because he knew that David would become king after him and not his son Jonathan. Unknowingly, Saul went into a cave, where David and his men were hiding, to relieve himself. David quietly crept upon Saul and cut off the corner of his royal garment. Afterwards David called out to King Saul, showed him the piece of garment, and assured him that he had had the opportunity to kill him, but he did not. Hurting people, hurt people; but Jesus said to love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you. The believer is tasked with the responsibility of showing and telling others about God’s love and the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. In so doing, God will bless, reward, give you favor and confer benefits upon you. Scripture References: I Samuel 23:6-29 & 24:1-22; Matthew 5:44 Prayer for today: Father, I will show and tell for I am not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ. In JESUS name, AMEN. Whatever you must do today, there is a grace for that. Accept the grace and make it a sweatless day. Love Dianne
