Shows you may or may not want to check out: - The 100: The pilot episode was nothing special, or at least nothing apocalyptic TV shows and movies havent already showed us before. Henry Ian Cusick, youre my constant. I root for you, evil Desmond! ;) Gonna keep on watching, but my expectations lowered increasingly. - Crisis: Very similar to Hostages. The first 2 episodes looked promising and intriguing. Lets hope it wont all turn out to be very trite, as happened to its CBS twin. (Oh, and I really dont care that Gillian Anderson is in the cast. Thats certainly not why Im watching it. Not an X-Files fan here, sorry!) - Brooklyn Nine-Nine: if I had to choose one comedy from fall 2013, Id definitely pick BNN. Funny, goofy, unpretentious. A workplace ensemble that reminds of Parks and Recreations light-heartedness. Who doesnt love Parks and Rec? Only a fool! - Intelligence (US): The initial concept reminded me a bit of my beloved Chuck. Its first few episodes were weak but its now slowly picking up, mainly because of the chemistry between Gabriel and Riley. After 12 episodes, it still hasnt answered some important questions (that seemed to create the whole premise), such as: why did that gorgeous man volunteer to have a chip implanted in his brain? What the frack really happened to his wife? And to his chinese lady-clone seen in the pilot? Would I be watching if it werent for the fact that I need my Josh Holloway fix weekly? I dont know, but please, give the man his long hair back! - The Musketeers (UK): as for Intelligence, my opinion on the BBC show is fluctuating. Ups and downs. I love the characters (including Peter Capaldi as Richelieu), the idea of developing each of them loosely on Dumass novel and one episode at a time, the locations, Luke Pasqualino and Santiago Cabrera. But Ill admit there were times I yawned with boredom. - Amazons Pilots: YES to Bosch and The Rebels. Compelling the first show, funny the second one. Transparent and Mozart in the Jungle, instead, have that trying so hard to be plausible but revolutionarily bold at the same time feeling, very much like Girls, that ends up being very irritating, not to mention stereotypical. --> Big NO! The After: as much as I enjoyed FlashForward (the beginning looks very much the same: people wake up after being passed out for some time without a single clue of whats going on around them or what caused the black-out), Im not that into aliens-are-about-to-conquer-our-planet kind of stories (the plot seemed to be headed that way, as hinted at the end of the episode), but I wouldnt mind finding out what happened... or seeing Adrian Pasdars face a little longer! (Dearest Nathan Petrelli, youve been missed!)
