Sickle Cell Carers Awareness Network (SCCAN) is pleased to announce that Medicine Assistance Sierra Leone (MASL) have again donated medication for 100 children under 18 years. The medicines are already in Kono in the care of our able Nurse Ms Femusu Matturi and her team at the Clinic 42 Kainkordu road Kono. For the next six months we are well stocked in terms of medication for all other children we support with medication. Please join the SCCAN volunteers and beneficiaries to give MASL a big thank you especially Sarah Snow who is championing the cause. As I write, I have being informed by same representative of MASL, that thermometers are on board a ship heading to Sierra Leone for Kono by same organisation as a response to Prof Aiah Gbakimas call for support towards Ebola fight. We are a very proud Organisation!! SCCAN has also received 10 bags of rice from Kansons money transfer services based here in the UK for the benefit of our children in Kono. Every year kanson services donates to SCCAN 10 bags at a time like this...this is the fourth year running. We in SCCAN say a big thank you to the Kanson team here and abroad for this gesture towards the needy.
