Sickness of the heart —•►★★★★★★★★►•— Prophet Salallahu alaihi wasallam said: For every group of people, there is trial and the trial of my Ummah lies in wealth. (Tirmidhi) Allah has made lowering one’s gaze and guarding one’s modesty the strongest means of purifying one’s soul. [Ibn Taymiyah] It is narrated that Ibn Masood (Radiallahu anhu) said: You are destroyed if your heart is not acquainted and satisfied with what is just and denies what is evil. The heart is such, if it is not occupied in the love of ALLAH (SUBHANAHU WA TAALAH) then it will love the creation. (Ibn Qayyim) If the heart is sick, the forbidden becomes attractive & obedience of ALLAH (SUBHANAHU WA TAALAH) becomes something you look at with contempt. (Al Jawzi) Sitting with the righteous rejuvenates the soul and makes the heart more fertile for the growth of Imân. Our conscience is a warning system inside of us; be happy if it alerts you over sinning, be very worried If it doesnt. Allah says: ► O ye who believe! Obey Allah and His Messenger, and turn not away from him when ye hear (him speak). Nor be like those who say we hear, but listen not: For the worst of beasts in the sight of Allah are the deaf and the dumb― those who understand not. If Allah had found in them any good, He would indeed have made them listen; (as it is) if He had made them listen, they would but have turned back and declined (faith). O ye who believe! Give your response to Allah and His Messenger, when He calleth you to that which will give you life; and know that Allah cometh in between a man and his heart, and that it is He to whom Ye shall (all) be gathered. sura AL ANFAL chapter 8 verse 20-24 === A man will never fear something besides Allaah unless it be due to a disease in his heart. - Ibn Taymiyyah ============ ALLAH DIRECTS HEARTS AS HE WILLS. Abdullah Bin Amr bin Al-As (رضي الله عنه ) said that he heard the Messenger of ALLAH رســــول اللـــه صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ say:The hearts of the sons of Adam(عليه السلام )are all between two fingers of the Most Merciful,like one heart, and He directs them as he wills.Then the Messenger of ALLAH رســــول اللـــه صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ said: O ALLAH, controller of the hearts, direct our hearts to obey you. SAHIH MUSLIM Volume 7 hadith no 6750 page no 290 =============== “You must convince your heart that whatever ALLAH has decreed is most appropriate and most beneficial for you. ”—(Imam al-Ghazali) ====================== Keep your heart near Allah and you will find peace and tranquility,give your heart to the people and you will find restlessness and apprehension (Qayim) ============= Consider the feeling that rules your heart, for then you will understand what you are worth. (Sheigh Abdulqadir Al-Jilani) =================== Why are you knocking at every door ? Go, knock at the door of your own heart (Rumi) =========== ▶ Remedy for the tarnished heart.... There is a polish for everything that removes the Rust; and the polish for the heart is the remembrance of Allah. (Bukhari) ▶ Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyya (rahimahullah) said:- “Doubtless, a heart grows tarnished like brass or silver, and its polish is in remembrance of Allah Mighty and Majestic, which may make it shine like a crystal mirror. When one neglects the remembrance the heart tarnishs,and when one returns it shines. Since the heart is tarnished by two things -- heedlessness and sin; it is polished by two things -- remembrance and seeking forgiveness.” Verily my happiness is my ايمان imaan(faith) . And verily my ايمان is in my heart .And verily my heart doesnt belong to anyone , but Allah ~ اللَّهُ سبحانه وتعالي جل جلاله === The heart is like a candle longing to be lit. (Rumi) ========== When a man complained to the Prophet صلى الله عليه و آله و صحبه و سلم of having a hard heart, prophet said: “Stroke orphans’ heads and feed the poor.” ( Al-Tirmidhi ) ============ When the heart is perfected all your conditions become perfect. - Shaykh Abd Al Qadir Al Jilani شيخ عبد القادر الجيلاني ================== Four things are poison for the heart: 1) unrestrained glances 2) unnecessary speech 3) bad company 4) excessive eating. - Ibn al-Qayyim ====== Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek & find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it #Rumi Ponder!!!!! The body is ours but the soul and the mind has been hijacked by our ego and Devils advocates. So we no longer think for ourselves.
