MAG/WAG/Conditioning & Stretching: gymdrills.net/ (Drill ID: 102) Similarly to drill #5 (search easily by the drill ID; just type 5 in MAG/Still Rings search engine) this exercise allows the gymnast to understand rings movement and body transition, also it enables him to work on desired shape (Inverted cross) during the backward swing. The simulation builds up strength and makes gymnast accustomed to frequent changes of directions. Gymnast should keep wrists open outwards; head stays natural. Please note, that you can increase the difficulty by setting the boxes further apart. This exercise should be used as a supplementary exercise besides the actual rings work including shoulders and wrists rotations.
