Signs of changing times. . So, It is 1987 through 1990 and a little teenage girl is always tiptoeing to her moms room and gingerly opening her dresser drawers to get a lipstick, eye pencil, etc. She puts them on while breathing in very short and shallow intervals because mom is sleeping just a couple of feet away:):) She considers spraying the perfume but changes her mind cos that is a surefire way of being caught:):):) The mirror vindicates her daring mission was worth it and she gently tiptoes away, closing the door as gently as she could. Mission accomplished!!! She is ready to show her pretty face to the world:):):) Fast forward to 2014, another little teenager walks into her moms room and asks, mom, where is your makeup bag. Mom pretends not to hear her and she starts digging for it, finds it and walks back into her room, yes, with your makeup bag!!! OMG!! :):):):):) Like seriously!!! What is going on in their head:):):) I smile each time this happens to me with my tween daughter:):)#signsofourtime, #parents, #parenting, #childrenarereallysomething, #howtimeschange.
