Silence. It doesnt necessarily mean being in a quiet place. It can - TopicsExpress

Silence. It doesnt necessarily mean being in a quiet place. It can be in a crowded space, abuzz with noise and people on the move. One can even be inside a rickety old bus, filled with chattery people and find Peace and Silence there. Silence only happens within. You have to silence yourself, in other words, observe the scene taking place before you and at the same time observing your thought process. This is called Moving Meditation. Now, many people mistake Meditation as just being in a silent place with eyes closed and trying to resist bad thoughts and focusing on good thoughts and their breathing. Im not saying that method is wrong. It is a correct method. Infact, a basis for Moving Meditation. But for the present time, it can get quite challenging having to spare an hour to sit quietly. We are always on the move. Or busy with something. Moving Meditation is simply you, observing your thoughts and actions. And enjoying that moment. It can get quite interesting. For sometimes, you would find yourself doing things youd never do. Good things ofcourse. Things that improve you. Moving Meditation is a good way in trying to look inward, using the external as a guide, source or example. One of the benefits of Moving Meditation, just like Meditation, is one would tend to be more positive, daring and clairvoyant. You can predict things before they happen. And everything is beautiful to you. You would realise, that the External World can not harm the Internal Realm in you. Best way to progress in Moving Meditation is to write down the good things youve seen or heard or felt. Make it as interesting as possible and at the same time keeping the gist of the experience. Which brings us to Thoughts. Our daily scenarios in our lives are a direct manifestation of our Thoughts. Our inner struggles. The fear and hatred we have of someone, manifests when we find out someone has similar fear and hatred towards us. Thoughts also have direct influence to Speech and Actions. Sometimes, out of having angry Thoughts, we sometimes find ourselves doing things angrily. And for that certain span of time, we tend to see our Thought manifested directly to the External world. We see and read about riots and wars in papers and television. We even sometimes see it being manifested before us. You might be driving past a street and find two men beating each other up on the side of the road. For a Positive person, he would rarely come across such incidences and occurrences. It is not that Negative things are not happening, they are but just not in the current vicinity or space that person is in. And even if he does, he takes no form of notice towards it. But make no mistake, he is not being lazy or lacks care about it. If need and time comes (and people prone to practising Moving Meditation know when the right time is) would act upon a situation if he needs to. This links us to the Power of Attraction. We are magnets in actual fact. Because through our Thoughts we attract the scenarios which befits our Mind. The more positive one is, the more one attracts beauty and positivity. Ultimately, this all boils down to Perception. Our Perception on Life plays a pivotal role in how we are destined to be and how the world around is bound to be. There is no such thing as Fate. We are the Mozarts and Picassos of our Life. We design it the way we want it to be. It was Thoughts that created this world and it was Perception that has developed and shaped it. Here is a list of people who have had practised Moving Meditation (or atleast my hunch tells me); Mother Theresa, Swami Vivekananda, Steve Jobs, The 13th Dalai Lama, Rajnikanth, Mark Zuckerberg (to some extent) Sai Baba (both), Amitabh Bhachan (he has stopped it lately), the Mayans / Ancients, Walt Disney, Ar Rahman (very spiritual man, his music exudes it), Mark Twain, Paolo Coelho, Frank Zappa, Lady Gaga (yes, she is Spiritual but terribly misunderstood), Einstein (he knew Science and Spirituality coexisted, but couldnt find the evidence - there is no evidence only experience) and Ram Dass.
