His grans head whipped around eyes locked on his and silence fell two days later the grand children contacted her to inform her that Carl had been right and they had found the box just where he had said it would be. After that Carl found himself invited to more nights like that at his grans house she told him he had the gift that he could see the dead and that they would contact him . the voices in his head as they whispered to him drove him mad and at times he would as he got older blot them out with drink then for a while at least he would not hear them. Getting the job at the hospital was his way of dealing with ut for some reason they didnt bother him there so he took on extra shifts peace was more important than sleep.Untill now that is he woke and his head was pounding his dreams had been dark and lurid the girl featured a lot and in the dream he saw his father attack his mother but then he woke in a cold sweat. Groaning he got up and got ready for work taking the drive he took everyday a girl suddenly ran into his path and bounced off the bonnet of his car it all happened so quickly he had no time to register the enormity of it and he got out shaking rushing to the front was she dead? when he got there puzzled he saw she was not there but on the ground was a piece of crumpled paper he looked at it and words like a spiders said help me on it . He wondered as he worked what it could all mean somehow this girl was trying to contact him about something important and he wondered what it could be . Later much later at home he turned on the tv and was just nodding off when the screen flickered again and sitting bolt upright he realized he was about to so something important. The girl was working in a shop and a man walked in it was her father and he started to have a heated discussion with her about her mother she was going to leave him because of his drinking and he wanted the girl to come home with him now to get her to stay the girl did she have a name he relaized he didnt know she had been tagged unknown just a number and it struck him as odd that no one had been in to claim her body watching the scene unfurl before him he had a cold hand of fear cross his heart as he knew he was wittnessing a murder and she was the only one who knew when she got hit by that car her fate was sealed and now she was looking to him to help her get justice for her mother . Carl decided he would do all he could tomorrow on his day off to find answers to find where she lived who she was so she could stop being in limbo he would put a name to this girl he would help her move on .
