Simon Luggy Farrow and Rodge Smee, I know you cant see the surf, but there were thousands of people who wanted to see what was going on at Seal Beach during one Christmas season. The waves were hitting the bottom of the pier, it was very foggy that night. but you could feel the strength of the sea waves. Soon after i took these photos the pier was closed down. The next morning there was a lot of damage to the pier which had to be rebuild in some of areas. The berm is built every year to help keep the tide away from the homes. People were everywhere. They were just drawn to the power of the sea. Amazing stuff. btw the homes got flooded anyway.
