Simple acts that dont take too much effort! Simple Acts that help individuals that helped me! I was unable to attend primary when I was young because of father restriction. The teacher of our class met me in the coral that adjoined their yard! She challenged me to memorize the thirteen Articles of Faith so I passed them off to her over the fence. The cost was high for the Bandello at 25 cents and the money was scarce. I found a way to pay for them because I worked for 35 cents an hour. I worked doing gardening for Mrs. Rasmussen and was prohibited from taking money for helping a single sister but a glass of milk and a cookie was OK! She told me that she would like to finance my mission when I grew up. I kind of laughed at the thought that I would be considered for such a possibility! Two Missionaries came home and invited me to church. I told them that I only had Levi’s so they loaned me a pair of slacks and took me to Priesthood! Small act but now I have memories of steps along the way. The missionaries were Montel Seeley and Gary Magnuson. Attending the Temple today and seeing Gary Magnuson reminded me of the little acts along my way as a teenager. The simple things do change the course of people’s lives! You never know what a smile, an invitation or one putting their arm around them will DO!
