“Simple yet the unshakable fact of Life” Way back in 19July 1910, a lady named Mrs. Sonora Smart Dodd was attending a Mothers’ day service at a Church. But it was the beginning of ‘Fathers’ day’. Mrs. Sonora Smart Dodd was reminded of her fathers’ Love hearing a preacher preaching about Mother’s Love. From that day till date, with her Endeavour ‘Fathers’ Day’ is celebrated every year on the third Sunday of June. Since then, there might only be a few countable heads that do not celebrate ‘Father’s Day’ or care less about getting a gift for their dad and think of doing something special to make the day memorable for him. Since the alpha of creation, man was created to be the figure to love and support for his life partner and symbol of guidance, protection and stronghold for his Children. ‘Fathers’ Day’ all over the globe is observed as an indication of honour, tribute and acknowledgement for who our father is and what his worth in our life is. People in the church are more aware of this day as it is celebrated with great vibe and energy. Every year special services are organized in their admiration and respect. Nevertheless, the fact cannot be ignored that not every soul is fortunate enough to enjoy this day. Indeed, in our western world, in which open and acknowledge differences over the range of ‘Fatherhood’ belief has become too plain and vague for some. This belief has become just simple fact of life. There are those who openly reject all forms of holding up this wonderful thing called ‘Fatherhood’. The account of life, family, society and to be a father itself is not sufficient enough to explain what it really means to be ‘Father’. No one can concretely determine it fully. He can be a social reformer, a revolutionist or simply your ‘Father’ but there is very little doubt that Fatherhood did appeal to the poor and unlearned, to suffering, to the fragile and strong. He has a great gift for making himself understood by little babies, by grownups no matter what implication he tries to put together in his speech, accomplishment or action. Men have sought to find in his own dad a pattern, an authority and power, a confirmation and affirmation of their own conception of what actually being a ‘Father’ implies. This 2013, ‘Fathers’ Day’ let it be the appended responsibility of each reasonable father to realize that you are some one’s HERO, some one’s IDOL and there is a soul willing to be blessed by your life and ready to led a live placing your account as a building block for his/her good future. On this great day salute to our ‘father’ for your Sacrifice, Love and Endurance in spite of our shortcoming and failures. “HAPPY FATHERS’ DAY.”
