Simplified tax system rate shall be reduced from 10% to 7% in Saint Petersburg. For the Petersburg entrepreneurs who apply the STS (simplified taxation system), tax rate can be lowered from 10 to 7%. The governor of St. Petersburg Georgy Poltavchenko has advanced such an initiative. In his opinion further to stimulate small business, for the entrepreneurs applying the STS, it is necessary to reduce the tax load. It should be noted that about decrease in a rate of the STS entrepreneurs in March of this year asked during meeting of Public council on development of small entrepreneurship. In reply to the above Poltavchenko answered that at first it was necessary to count efficiency of this measure for city budget.
