Since 1980 every time this song came on the radio it was to painful for me to listen too, so id change the station. You see the last time id heard this song in its entiety waz at my late Brother Patrick M. Flemings request @ his wake. 34 years ago it brought me to my knees in grief. I could never listen to it again. Yesterday an ole friend John Canty posted a Kansas tune on his FB page. So i listened. Id seen this Band back in the day 3 times. Owned every album and 8 track and cassett they put out. These guys rocked. Well it took 34 years for me to come to grips with something that tore a hole in my and my familys Heart so long ago. I listened to it from start to finish and a warm wave rushed over me. A huge weights been lifted. I can finaly come to grips with something that was not my fault. I felt his spirit as if he was just now sitting beside me telling me Den your gonna be ok. And you know what....I am. RIP Patrick M. Fleming.
