Since I entered Spain Ive had many conversations with Spaniards. They speak in Spanish and I speak in English. Neither of us knows a word of the others language. Yet somehow it works most of the time. We recognize words that sound like something we know. We use hand signs. We guess. In the end it works out. And its fun. Once While speaking with cool Spanish cyclist dudes, I felt that my super power was translating languages in my head without knowing them. We had a full conversation about where I was going, how I was going in the wrong direction (of course). The direction I was going in was really hilly (of course). The road I should be on is nice and flat. Go to the northern roundabout and follow the signs to something or other. And, oh, by the way, youre such a beautiful woman. My super power tells me they must have said that at some point in the conversation.
