Since I moved to Ball-T-More, everyone has been calling me James. At my last 2 jobs, here on Facebook and on the street. Now you may be saying to yourself AND? Well, My legal name is James Edward Cooper, III, but all my life my friends and family have called me Jay. Whenever I hear someone refer to me as James, I feel like Im back in elementary school or worse, Im in trouble with my parents who only used my full name when I was about to get the Adrian Peterson treatment. Bionically it makes me feel like James the Lesser. Now I know this is a small thing,and hardly worth posting but I would like to be referred to as Jay by everyone on my friends list here on Facebook. I know that when Im tagged it will be as James Cooper, but if you are messaging me or talking to me please use Jay. In my family I have many names. I have an aunt who calls me Seed My late wife Ardria used to refer to me as Cooper, a very southern gentility thing that I liked. My uncle Charles Moore who is also my godfather named me Jason W. Birdseed at birth. A name still used by some today 50 years later. Depending on the relative I may be or have been called Jay-son, puddin, dumpling, Jaybe Baby, Jaybird, Kutchen Pucka, etc... In high school I was Wolfman, Cooper-Kinte and Wildman. Today I just wanna be Jay.
