Since I now live in an old converted office from the 60s in Dallas, I have a soft spot for these: This is the Statler Hilton Hotel in Downtown Dallas. Done by William Tabler Sr. (who did many of Hiltons projects in this time period), it signalled the start of a boom in Dallas, and was a flagship design for the Statler Hilton Brand. For over 10 years it sat vacant and at one point had a pretty bad fire get it, but luckily, like many buildings of the era in downtown, its being given new life and will soon be back to a beauty in use. Attached are more links for exhaustive information on it and its repurposing. unvisiteddallas/archives/362 cityhallblog.dallasnews/2014/04/ambitious-statler-hilton-redo-including-hotel-and-movie-theater-asking-city-for-43-5-million-in-tif-reimbursements.html/ cityhallblog.dallasnews/2014/04/dallas-council-approves-46-5-million-for-redevelopment-of-old-statler-hilton-in-downtown.html/
