Since I spend most of the day in my room, you may ask how I keep - TopicsExpress

Since I spend most of the day in my room, you may ask how I keep myself entertained? Well, first of all I have a computer in my room that is connected to the Internet. I am a big fan of Sea Hunt on YouTube. How many of you remember that. For all of the things it is or isn’t I do enjoy Face Book and emails. I do a lot of Bible related research on the Internet plus I have commentaries on my computer. I also enjoy doing history research. I have a few books in my room with many more downstairs and in my office at the café. I also have a television that is hooked up to Dish. Then today I hooked the TV up to Netflix and other services like that. I have an endless amount of music that I own but I also subscribe to Pandora. Of course getting all of this set up takes up part of my time. The Net Gear box that I hooked to the TV required a wireless connection to the Internet. I purchased the Net Gear box several months ago but couldn’t figure how to set it up. Well it was all there but one wire – a HDMI cable. While I was in physical therapy today Margaret made a trip to the Radio Shack in Crockett in search of one. She told me the clerk in Radio Shack was very helpful and it turned out she is from Kennard. In fact when I was a deputy here in Houston County, I had some dealings with her on more than one occasion. It is good to learn she was working. I always knew that there was something there worth saving but could never figure out how to get past a barrier that she kept between us. So with this electronic stuff there is always a certain wire that has to be inserted in a place that I can never find. Not only that but the TV, monitor, Net Gear box, computer and WiFi are all black and the tiny letters are black also. I have stood on my head with my glasses falling off looking for some of these elusive portals. Well it would help if the Quick Setup Manuals had all of the information. Sometimes I feel like I am missing a page. After all of the wires are plugged in and everything is turned on more problems arise. It will say something like hold the Setup button and press Enter three times. Okay, where is the Setup button? And even if there is a support number provided I hesitate to call since I just can’t understand those folks in Sir Lanka. And then there are the User Names and Passwords. The worst seems to be Microsoft. You can chase your tale a long time with those folks. And just try to find a support number. Of course I needed a User Name and Password for the Wifi, YouTube, Pandora, the TV, the Net Gear, Netflix, the cloud, Yahoo, Face Book and countless others. I had to create a database to store them all. I am not done yet because some of the Passwords require 7 or 8 characters and then some require that two of them have to be numbers. I think I am getting tired. Well thank you all for being my friend and responding with wonderful comments.
