Since Robin Williams passed there has been an explosion of posts about depression and suicide intervention, for which I am truly grateful. Suicide and mental illness have been taboo topics in society for far too long--a fact which in and of itself lends to an increase in suicide....if you cant talk about it, it is easier to drown in it. It is times like this when I wish with all my heart I could be back in Virginia working at CrisisLink - You Talk, We Listen. I will keep this short although I have a heart full of words Id like to share.....if ANYONE out there feels like they are getting so low they cant move forward, please know you can talk to me. I care. I truly truly do. I would not be devoting my life to the mental health field if I didnt. I see every ounce of divinity in every one of you and I beg you to reach out before destroying all of that beauty.
