Since everyone is giving their opinions, Ill give mine. Ill go ahead and say Im not mustang bashing, just telling it as I see it, and I see it as this is all false hype. First off for the guys comparing these to the Dodge Hellcat, when the Hellcat ran its times it was full weight and stock right out the box as you buy it plus drag radials. All three of these mustangs are gutted, fair amount of suspension mods, exhaust mods, engine calibrate (tune), and full slicks not just drag radials. Just keep that in mind when youre comparing the two. Now what I think about the 5.0 GT. Comparing this model because we all know it will be the most popular. It did run an 11.7 1/4 mile. Thats great. But like I said you have to take into consideration the car it gutted, suspension work which I think there is more than what they are saying, my guess is they also have drag springs and double adjustable shocks because it was squatting a lot more than full weight stock suspension 2013s GTs, headers and off road exhaust, which means no cats and obviously no mufflers, which also means even less weight also, retune, and slicks. So with all the mods, a professional driver, and a track at or near sea level it ran 11.7. Good times but you cant compare this to the camaro and challenger times because they test the cars bone stock with drag radials. I estimate that without all the mods the times would be very similar to the 5.0s that are on the road today. Take away all the mods but keep the slicks and the car will be in low/mid 12s. Then for the guys in El Paso add probably another .6 to .8 tenths from the elevation and track not being as perfect. You now have a high 12s, low 13s GT, same as the 5.0s out today. So I have to say that this video is all false hype. Nothing is really changing from the previous years
