Since its Veterans day I figured Id post some pictures of my grandpa Lt. Colonel Louis Benne, WWII Ace. I never got to meet him, but have grown up hearing enough about him that I feel like I do know him. He did so many heroic things throughout his lifetime, and I am proud to call him grandpa....I just wish I could find his military photo online, but Ill put that up next time I go to my parents house. He was shot down and ended up in a POW camp for a number of years and was pulling puts of shrapnel out of his arms until the day he died. He received the purple heart and the silver star, just to name a few of his numerous acheivements..
