Since its World Breastfeeding Week and my friends are sharing such lovely pictures, I wanted to share this article. I nursed Pix for 20 months and assumed Id do the same with Paige. However, Paige has other plans. Unfortunately, she was not gaining weight at all and has not been able to transfer milk when latched on. I have seen two peds, two IBCLCs, and we havent found an answer. I have been exclusively pumping all of her feeds now for three weeks. Its really a challenge, both physically and emotionally. I couldnt do it without Mark. I feel like pumping moms arent really included in a lot of breastfeeding advocacy and celebration, but there are actually a lot of us.
