Since most of the leaves are off of the trees, Smithville can witness the sunrise earlier. The golden hue through the woods is a great morning greeter! It is so rare to look at the day planner for the coming week and see lots and lots of blank spaces; though very welcome indeed. This morning I will be preaching at The Crossover Church in Mattoon; really looking forward to it. I am not one for taking medicine; Ive never had to take too much and I really drag my feet when it comes to doing it. Oh, I take a one-a-day vitamin every now and then; only because they dont make an every-third-day vitamin or one-a-week vitamin. If I have a headache I do head for the medicine cabinet to get a headache pill. But, I wonder if the pill actually makes the headache go away or does it mask it so I dont feel it until it does finally go away. And, if one pill helps, just maybe two would be better. If the pain persists then why not try three. And, why not plan on just taking a pill every 4 hours or so and maybe there wont be any further headaches. Of course we need to heed the warnings on the package; this medicine could cause any number of other health problems. One medicine that you just cant overdose on is Jesus Christ. Now, theres one that needs to be taken continually; you wont overdose, but if you dont get enough of it there are serious side effects. Its a medicine you need to take if youre feeling sick; if youre feeling discouraged, if you need comfort or even if youre happy. The times when you need it will surprise you. You really need a good dose of Jesus when you think youve got everything under control all by yourself. If youre not on a regimen of Jesus, I would suggest you get yourself to the church emergency altar just as quick as you can get there this morning; pray that you make it in time! In the end, the medicine Jesus Christ makes everything absolutely perfect!
