Since moving back to Klamath, a move that may be temporary, I have been trying to take advantage of the amazing local food options here and have not been disappointed! Heres a brief list: Breakfast at Green Blade, where I had my first natalie and where my 6-year-old daughter polished off a delicious cinnamon roll about as big as her head. Cinnamon wheels and savory pastries for Thanksgiving morning from Julies Wakey Bakey, plus the best breakfast burrito Ive ever had. My favorite hot cocoa in town (with hemp milk!) and amazing creative sandwiches (apple + smoked gruyere + prosciutto on one, pear + bacon + havarti + figs on the other) from Gathering Grounds downtown. Delicious sushi from Hanayoris, whose spider rolls and peaceful atmosphere never disappoint. Easily the best cheesesteak Ive ever had, including the ones from Reading Market and South Philly, from Mac n Cheesesteaks. Game day treats from Bonnie Nork, whose lemon bars I will never ever get tired of, and Bombshell Baking Co, whose donuts rival Seattles best. Thank you all for supporting such a vibrant food culture here in Klamath Falls, and thanks to all these creative, passionate foodies who enrich our lives and our town with their flavors and sense of community!
