Since reevaluating and changing my eschatology over the last few years to a more optimistic (and I believe Biblical) view, my perspective on politics has been hugely affected. Not being suspicious of a one world government dictator rising up has freed me up to honor the King and genuinely pray good things for my leaders. Believing things are supposed to get worse becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy over a nation.
