Since returning from my weekend away, Ive battled a bit of guilt for unplugging and being, well - selfish. But in the course of this day, one person after another has taken a turn in the chairs that sit across from my desk to share their troubles with me - one with ailing, elderly parents and tough decisions that must be made, a young lady with a difficult career choice, a man who recently learned his significant other is a meth addict, another who is battling illness... I cant help but think how God knows Im no use to anyone when my energy and strength are depleted, and He saw fit to give me rest and a time of refreshing. So I dont feel guilty anymore. But Im left wondering - what if my calling is something entirely different than what Ive believed it to be my entire life?
