Since rex didnt want any of this looked at to closely, he then cut the kid lose. Since he got what he wanted, the Ceder Center, the AVAAA and the LEGAL board out of the way, his work there was done. Except for the pesky lawsuit that followed for 3 years. ================================== FRIDAY, APRIL 16 2010 - 02:12 PM AVAAA Board President Released, charges dropped An AVNEWS Update Thursday, April 15, 2010 Lancaster — The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Narcotics Strike Team on Wednesday arrested Eric William Perry, president of the Antelope Valley Allied Arts Association, and transported him to the Los Angeles Inmate Reception Center, according to the sheriff’s Inmate Information Center website. According to the document, Perry was arrested at 12:01 p.m. at his home in Lancaster on charges of growing marijuana and was booked into the Lancaster Station at 2:50 p.m. Perry was being held on a $20,000 bail, according to the document. On Thursday, AV NEWS spoke with Perry’s wife who asked to not be quoted on record except for the fact that neither she nor Mita Licciarei were arrested – as was rumored. In trying to ascertain the facts surrounding the arrest, AV NEWS spoke with Lancaster sheriff’s station personnel and was able to obtain a partial arrest report – only one page of the report. Note: The one page received by AVNEWS had black marker through most of the typed information. AVNEWS was told that the remaining portion of the report had not been processed. A statement that was repeated several times during the day and night and again on Thursday morning. Finally, after numerous requests for the facts and the whereabouts of Perry and what exactly he was arrested for, AV NEWS received a call from Sheriff’s Lt. Pat Davenport. “All the information we have is that he was arrested on suspicion of cultivation of marijuana. We don’t know if he was over the limit or within the limit of a permit to grow marijuana,” Davenport said. When asked if Perry had a permit to grow marijuana, Davenport replied, “We don’t know if he has a permit.” Davenport also said he didn’t know why Perry had been taken to the Los Angeles jail facilities. Late Thursday afternoon, AV NEWS was told a copy of the full report would be available by Monday. AV NEWS continued to monitor the Inmate Reception Center website and ascertained late Thursday night that Perry had been released from the Center in Los Angeles. According to the sheriff’s website, Perry was released without posting bail. He was “released by a peace officer-insufficient complaint.” Neither Perry nor his wife were available for comment Thursday night, nor has the sheriff’s department explained how someone can be arrested and taken to jail for a crime, when no one within that department will acknowledge that a crime was even committed, or if the person arrested even committed a crime and why a “strike team”? According to the Sheriff’s Department, It is unclear if Perry committed a crime, was arrested for a crime, was taken to Los Angeles for a crime, posted bail, or was released without charges.
