Since the city is going the way of the segregated bike lane, its only fair to point out the cases where they are more useful as opposed to where they are not (180th St.). This one must have been laid down in the past few days on E37th Street between 1st ave and the FDR. It allows two way bike traffic on what was formerly a short one way street. This is important because its at that break in the Greenway and bikes need access to 1st and 2nd avenue... Rather than dismounting or taking the FDR service... this is kind of more convenient for those entering the East River path. So kudos NYC.
