Since the iPhone 6 was revealed today or something like that, I took a look and actually did find the iPhone specs. Here it is compared to the best Samsung currently on the market. iPhone 6 v. Galaxy S5. ----- Both work on 4G LTE networks, so well say anything with service is almost exactly the same right off the bat. As a phone phone, these will work just as well as an old Nokia. ----- Display: 16M colors, 960 x 1704 pixel display at 416 ppi on the iPhone 6 versus 16M colors 1080 x 1920 pixels at 432 ppi on the S5. Winner: S5 (See footnote) ----- Storage: iPhone comes in 16, 32, 64, and 128 GB versions versus the S5 16 or 32 GB versions, but S5 accepts microSD expantions that can go up to 128 GB for a total max storage of 160 GB. Winner: S5 ----- Memory: 1 GB on the iPhone versus 2 GB on the S5. Winner: S5 ----- Data: iPhone gets 300mps down and an unknown amount down. S5 gets 150mps down and 50mps up. Winner: iPhone ----- Camera: 8MP on the iPhone versus 16MP on the S5. Winner: S5 ----- Video (also camera): iPhone can shoot 1080p at 60fps or can shoot high speed videos (slo-mo) at up to 240 fps, but does not say what resolution it does so at. The S5 can shoot 2160p at 30fps, 1080p at 60fps, or 720p at 120fps. Winner: S5 can shoot a better resolution, but iPhone can get more frames in high speed videos, so tie here. ----- CPU: 1.4 GHz Dual core versus 2.5 GHz Quad core. Winner: S5 ----- Protection: Both waterproof, both with shatterproof glass. Tie. ----- Additional stuff: Both have a fingerprint scanner. Both have Accelerometer, gyro, proximity, barometer, and compass sensors. Both have voice commands their own types of cloud storage. In addition to all this the S5 has a heart rate sensor, smart stay, smart pause, smart scroll, air gestures and Java. Winner: S5 ----- Battery: iPhone says it will last 250 hours in standby or 14 hours of talk time. S5 is 390 hours standby or 21 hours of talk time. Additionally, you can buy a new battery for your S5 if it goes bad. According to Apples website the resolution of the iPhone 6 is only 1334 by 750 at 326 ppi. In this case I gave them the benefit of the doubt and put the higher resolution up there, but we will have to see if that holds.
