Since the mid 50s I remember the cars owned by our family. We had a Jeep at that time and never liked it much. My uncle Dr. Lashkor had a Ford Prefect (1954) which had vacuum wiper and indicator that use to fascinate me. The indicator was like an arm slotted between the front and rear door and would stick out like a hand with a bulb inside, drop back inside the slot when switched off (didnt cancel itself though, you had to switch it off). Fortunately I found some photos of that car in the net of the colour of my uncles car and here they are:
