Since we are doing retail memories...what was your local corner store or spa? Ours was Jacks at Cedar and Summer. He always had a bone for our dog - there was a full-service meat section where they butchered their own meat. Less wholesome: my older sisters used to send 5-year-old me down to Jacks to buy cigarettes for them. On the walk from home at Cherry & Summer to St. Catherines School, there were at least two more little stores on Summer St. One was at Linden and another next to Kelly Park.
