Since we are gaining sooo many new Military with PTSD family members really quickly let us re introduce everyone. This is Shawn and Justin Gourley co-founders of Military with PTSD. Justin is a 70% disabled Navy veteran with PTSD & TBI (and also has taken mefloquine so possible mefloquine toxicity). He is the CEO of Military with PTSD. Shawn is his wife and caregiver, but she is the brains behind this organization and Facebook page. Shawn is the Executive Director of Military with PTSD and is tasked with the program development for the organization. Shawn J. Gourley started this Facebook page in Aug. 2010 as a place to launch her book The War At Home. Shawn wanted to help spouses prepare for when the soldiers came home and give them a understanding of what could really happen. But as the page grew it has turned into a support group for everyone who is affected by PTSD. Shawn designed this community to be a place to discuss Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). The knowledge here is each persons personal experience living with PTSD. Our motto here is, “Seeing it from both sides.”
