Since we are talking about Radio City, here is one of my treasures. There was a file cabinet in the rectifier room that had all the payroll records and files from the years. When an editor or friend would visit the hall and mention that they saw a stage show / film years ago when they were kids, we would get the name of the show and pull the weekly payroll schedule to show them which projectionists worked and how long the show was. We also had many manuals, SMPTE papers and correspondence. During the long days during the Christmas shows (we had a few select cues during the shows and it was silly to step outside between shows) I used to while away the down time perusing the old projection files. When I found something interesting I would scan it for my collection. This is the final memo from Roxy to the projection crew when he was booted out by the Rockefellers in 1934
