Since we find ourselves fashioned into all these excellently formed and marvelously functioning in the body of Christs body, lets just go ahead and be what we were made to be (Romans 12:5) What you are is Gods gift to you, and what you do with yourself is your gift to God.- Danish Proverb/ God deserves our best. He shaped us for a purpose, and He expects us to make the most of what we have been given. He doesnt want us to worry or covet abilities we dont have. Instead He wants us to focus on talents He has given us to use.-The Purpose-Driven Life, Rick Warren/The Night Stalker Our time on earth and our energy, intelligence, opportunities, relationships, and resources are all gifts from God that He has entrusted to our care and management. We are stewards of whatever God gives us. This concept of stewardship begins with a recognition that God is the owner of everything. and everyone on earth. The Bible says, The world and all that is in it belong to the Lord; the earth and all who live in it are his. We never really own anything during our brief stay on earth. God just loans the earth to us while were here. It was Gods property before we arrived, and God will loan it to someone else after we die. We just got to enjoy it for a while. Everything we enjoy is to be treated as a trust that God has placed in our hands. These are Gods stuffs on earth. Life is a test and a trust. The more God gives us of these trusts, the more responsible He expects us to be. – The Purpose-Driven Life, Rick Warren/The Night Stalker THE TRUE OWNER: “All things were created through Him and for Him” (Colossians 1:16). Did you hear about the church that didn’t have enough room for parking. Fortunately, it was located right next to a store that was closed on Sundays. So a church member asked the store owner if they could overflow to his parking lot. “No problem,” he said, ”you can use it 51 weeks out of the year. On the 52nd week, though, it will be chained off.” The man was grateful. But asked curiously, “What happens that week?” The store owner smiled, “Nothing, I just want you to remember it’s not your parking lot. Its easy to take for granted all the material and spiritual blessings that God has given us. That’s we need to stop and remember that Scripture says that the owner of all we possess is God, “All that is in heaven and in earth is yours; Yours is the Kingdom, O Lord, and You are exalted head over all” 1 Chronicle 29:11). Even our bodies do not belong to us. “Do you know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. . . and you are not your own? For you were bought with a price” (1 Corinthians 6:19-29). As 1 Timothy 6:17 reminds us, “God. ..gives us richly all things to enjoy.”We are so abundantly blessed with good things . Let’s never take our Father for granted, but use wisely and gratefully all that He has given us. GOD GIVES BLESSINGS TO US SO WE CAN GIVE GLORY TO HIM. – Cindy Hess Kasper, odb.org/The Night Stalker BIBLIARASAL –“BETHEL” (27 December 2014 Saturday) “EVERYTHING THAT IS GOOD HAS ITS ORIGIN IN GOD” PRAY for guidance from the Holy Spirit. Prayer: Father, speak to me. I wish to receive your Word into my heart. Send forth your spirit to me. Reveal your face to me today. Amen. Alleluia, alleluia! The Word of God is living and effective; discerning reflections and thoughts of the heart. Alleluia, alleluia! 1ST READING: ISAIAH 52:7-10 “How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings glad tidings, announcing peace, bearing good news, announcing salvation, saying to Zion, “Your God is King! Hark! Your watchmen raised a cry, together they shout for joy, for they see directly, before their eyes, the LORD restoring Zion. Break out together in song, O ruins of Jerusalem! For the LORD comforts his people. He redeems Jerusalem. The LORD has bared his holy arm in the sight of all the nations; all the ends of the earth will behold the salvation of our God.” “God could not remain silent any longer so He sent Jesus, His Word, to speak the truth into the world. Jesus came as one like us to reveal the love of God the Father Love never coerces; it may seduce or attract, but it never forces a person to act against his will. This is Jesus’ love for His Father and for us. Let us look at how we love others in our lives. ” . PSALM 98:1-6 All the ends of the earth have seen the saving power of God. “Sing to the LORD a new song, for he has done wondrous deeds. His right hand has won victory for him, his holy arm The LORD has made his salvation known in the sight of the nations he has revealed his justice. He has remembered his kindness and his faithfulness toward the house of Israel. All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation by our God. Sing joyfully to the LORD, all you lands; break into song, sing praise. Sing praise to the LORD with harp, with the harp and melodious song. With trumpets and the horn sing joyfully before the King the LORD.” GOSPEL JOHN 1:7-18 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came to be through him, and without him nothing came to be. What came to be through him was life, and this life was the light of the human race; the light shines in the darkness and the darkness has not overcome it. A man named John was sent from God. He came for testimony, to testify the light, so that all might believe through him. He was not the light but came to testify to the light. The true light which enlightens everyone was coming into the world. He was in the world and the world came to be through him, but the world did not know him. He came to what was his own, but his people did not accept him. But to those who accept him, he gave power to become children of God, to those who believe in his name, who were born not by natural generation nor by human’s choice nor man’s decision but of God’s. And the Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us and we saw his glory, the glory of the Father’s only Son full of grace and truth. John testified to him and cried out saying, “This was he of whom I said, ‘The one who is coming after me ranks ahead of me, because he existed before me. From his fullness we have received, grace in place of grace, because while the law was given to Moses, grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. No one has ever seen God. The only Son, God, who is at the Father’s side has revealed him..” .The birth of Jesus is the turning point of the world in that the bell is tolled for the reign of sin. Sin’s reign is coming to an end with the life and ministry of Jesus. Those who lived before Jesus’ time did not have the same aid to gain salvation as we do! More, much more is expected of us as we have been given the fullness of the truth; the fullness of revelation; the fullness of help for salvation. Let us thank God for the gift of Jesus and rejoice in His coming this day! ” READ THE BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: God’s special verse/thought for me today- ZAPHANIAH 1-3 MY REFLECTIONS- THINK: “. Let us thank God for the gift of Jesus and rejoice in His coming this day! ” PRAY AGAIN-Thank the Lord for His message to you and pray that you may be able to live it out in your daily life. PRAYER: Father, I thank you. Your word is manna to my spirit. May your Word that I received today transform my soul. Make me more like you. Amen. COMPANION – A Catholic Scripture Diary/Bro. Bo Sanchez/ Fr. Steve Tynan/BIBRIARASAL PINOY (“BETHEL”)“ “IT IS IN CHRIST THAT WE FIND OUT WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE ARE LIVING FOR. LONG BEFORE WE FIRST HEARD OF CHRIST. . . HE HAD HIS EYE ON US, HAD DESIGNS ON US FOR GLORIOUS LIVING, PART OF THE OVERALL PURPOSE HE IS WORKING OUT FOR EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE: (Ephesians 1:11). BIBLIARASAL –“BETHEL” (28 December 2014 Sunday) “ADMITTING OUR LIMITATIONS: SURRENDERING TO GOD BRINGS FREEDOM, NOT BONDAGE ” The best expression of God’s love is the sacrifice of God’s Son for us. “God proves his love for us in that while we still were sinners Christ died for us.” If we want to know how much we matter to God, look at Christ with His outstretched hands on the cross saying, “I love you this much! I’d rather die than live without you.” God is not a cruel slave driver or bully who uses brute force to coerce us to submission. He doesn’t try to break our will, but woos us to Himself, so that we might offer ourselves freely to Him. God is a lover and a liberator, and surrendering to Him brings freedom, not bondage. When we completely surrender ourselves to Jesus, we discover that He is not a tyrant, but a savior; not a boss, but a brother; not a dictator, but a friend. ”ALL FOR THE GREATER GLORY OF GOD!
