Since you probably don’t have room for a mechanic, doctor and a couple brutes to push you out of a snow-bank, you could at least prepare for the worse with these 5 items. 1. Ice-Scraper- You would think this is a no-brainer, but I have seen people using cassette-tape cases, credit cards and anything else they can find to scrape their windshields. Okay that was me, but I have since learned to keep a scraper in the car year-round, especially since I no longer have cassette-tape cases in my car. 2. Portable Usb Power Bank Flash Charger for your cell phone- We all have cell phones, and you know when you need it to actually make a call on, the battery is almost dead. These flash chargers are awesome! You can find them at Wal mart inexpensive. (good holiday gift too) 3. Jumper cables- because dead batteries happen to the best of us. 4. Spare tire (in good condition), along with a tire jack and tire iron, because without them or someone else to help you, the spare tire is useless. Heres how to change a tire, in case you need a refresher. Also, if your wheels require a special security key, make sure thats always in your car too. (see video below to change a flat yourself) 5. Car repair information- A business card for your auto repair shop, the number for AAA (if youre a member), and car insurance claim forms should also be stored in your glove compartment. Seriously though, our number to the shop is useful to you even after hours. We have a 24 hour tow service and there number is listed on our answering machine.
