Sing to the LORD a new song, his praise from the ends of the earth, you who go down to the sea, and all that is in it, you islands, and all who live in them. Let the wilderness and its towns raise their voices; let the settlements where Kedar lives rejoice. Let the people of Sela sing for joy; let them shout from the mountaintops. Let them give glory to the LORD and proclaim his praise in the islands. The LORD will march out like a champion, like a warrior he will stir up his zeal; with a shout he will raise the battle cry and will triumph over his enemies. Isaiah 42:10-13 (NIV) Isaiah is telling the Israelites look what the Lord will do for us and through us. Majestic works prompt majestic responses. How much do you appreciate that good that God does for you and through you? We are to praise God not only for what He has done for us, but what He is able to accomplish through us! What is God’s mission through you? Who is God trying to reach through you? It is what God is able to do through you there is a new song of praise to the Lord. Each time you accomplish what God has given you to do there is rejoicing. Where are you assigned to do His mission? Sadly many people want to do what God has given others, rather than seek God for what their assignment is. There are times when we are to assist others and there are times when we are to step out on our own. God uses people as He sees fit. He does not always uses in what we consider our strengths as we may tend to do it on our own. God wants us to do the work for His glory so the songs sung will be sung to give Him glory and honor. Are you doing God’s work for your glory or for His? Let us go forth accepting God’s challenge for us and doing His mission His way!
