Sinn Féin have tabled a paper outlning the need to retain the National Monument at Moore Street (The last meeting place of the Provisional Government of the Republic in 1916) and to develop the area around the GPO as a Revolutionary Quarter. This site must be protected against private developers and retained for the people, as not only a monument to those who fought and died in 1916 but also to act as a reminder of what we still have to achieve. sinnfein.ie/files/2014/Revolutionary_Quarter_Final.pdf
