Sinning in Anger Ephesians 4:26-27 26 Be angry but do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, 27 and give no opportunity to the devil. *Often we become angry at the way others speak to us, or at things others do to us. We feel hurt, or treated unfairly. Our anger is a natural, human reaction. There is nothing wrong with feeling it. We often hold onto that anger though, and it causes us to sin in thoughts, words, or actions. Perhaps we think that we hate someone, or we may intentionally say or do something to hurt her or him. How may we instead let that anger pass, forgive that person for hurting us, and allow God’s love for all of His children replace that anger? When you feel the temptation to sin out of anger, pray that forgiveness enters your heart, replacing the anger. The Holy Spirit will inflame and your soul will lighten.
