Sino-Russian relationship are developing very positively, said - TopicsExpress

Sino-Russian relationship are developing very positively, said Russian President Vladimir Putin during his meeting with Chinese President on the sidelines of G20 summit. Xi Jinping, in turn, noted that the parties have made "major breakthrough" in 50 joint projects. Sergey Sanakoev, Executive Secretary of the Russian-Chinese Chamber for Trade in Machinery and High-Technology Products, commented on the meeting in an exclusive interview with the Voice of Russia. This bilateral meeting will draw a line under the Xi Jinping’s March visit, which outlined a very serious roadmap for the future of bilateral ties. In this sense, we can see very positive dynamics in all spheres of cooperation. Our political relations today are, of course, unprecedented. It’s evident that China is also our key ally on the Syrian issue. It is predominantly Russia and China, among the permanent five members of the United Nations’ Security Council, that have been opposing a military strike against Syria. That’s why a bilateral meeting between China’s and Russia’s leaders will be in the focus of the G20 summit. They will discuss ways of cooperation in Russia’s Far East, sine Moscow’s project to significantly boost the development of this region cannot be implemented without help from neighbor countries, primarily China.
