[ Sister question: to go or to stay ] Post Anon My sailor & I are both in our mid-20s, we have been dating since July and have only been in one anothers presence for a total of (13) days. Every other day since July has been long distance and a short deployment. We know we love each other & that we want a future together. I am a very driven career woman with the potential in my current company to continue to work up the ladder. My sailor has proposed the idea of me moving across the country where he is, to be with him and for us to start a life together. He says I can do my job any where (which is true) and meet new friends, etc. I know I am capable of these things too but Im afraid that I might not have the same opportunities job wise like I have now and Ill have to work my way back up again. And I dont want to resent him or it later down the road. Should I just follow my heart to be with my other half or take this moment to be selfish & see where my career takes me? Reposted by Bri
