Sitting In Tha Dark As the weather becomes unfriendly, Warm humid wind waves that envelope around my body sternly. Roof with a proper ceiling yet the atmospheric heat matches the one for an infra-red, If somebodys talking i aint listening but keep nodding just as if i heard. From taking a bath but a few minutes later it seems like i was on a road run, Wiping sweat across my face because tonight is like a day with a hot sun. Late as it is but i look for the keys just to open up the door, The heat is so disturbing that I cant take it any more. Now here i am in the middle of the night sitting in the dark, Watch the sky filled with stars whose brightness is like that of a little spark. Feeling quite relieved by sitting neath the tall trees, The solace of a peaceful night and a cool breeze. As the light falls on opaque tree trunks and hence forms the shadows, I sit back and relax feel my mind get rid of all its fatigue, stress and troubles. And in the distance heard are faint sounds of cars and dogs, And some where close cats are chasing rats in the piles of logs. It is all flowing through the air that passes gently among the sleeping leaves, That enters every little passage into the houses like creeping thieves. And am taking from its gasses a percentage of some oxygen, Through the nostrils the trachea and the alveoli till its pumped & mixed up with haemoglobin. And thats all about a still night in the other side of zone 3, Where at intervals homies from the other side of town get around to chill with me. #young_black_male
