Sitting down for Thanksgiving dinner several years back, my father-in-law asked if we prepared a fresh turkey. No, it was frozen, why Because there is a shell casing in my meat. WHAT?! I called the Jenny-O company with my findings. The customer service rep asked if I used a meat thermometer and I said yes, I had. She asked me to go get the thermometer so I did. Then she said look at the end of the thermometer...is the tip missing? I guess I wasnt the first person to have a shell casingin my dark meat. And thats the story of the bullet in the turkey.
