Sitting here at my dialysis session this morning and feeling grateful... I am so very grateful to everybody who got behind the great Kanawha County Public Library, and helped to get this Levy vote passed. I want to stress to you though, that the fight is far from over. The passing of the Levy ensures that the day to day operations will be able to continue, and that many of the branches will not have cease to exist. The fight now is get you through those doors, checking out materials, asking questions of the staff, supporting the programming that is vital to our community, and especially our children and youngsters. Personally, I cannot say enough good things about KCPL, the staff, the services are among the best that this community has to offer, and with all of that in mind, KCPL still has room to grow, but that growth will not happen without you. I said it before and Ill say it again, we have the greatest resource right at our finger tips. We have the answers to any questions that stand in our path, we have entertainment of all sorts, but most importantly, for our youngsters, we have the means to help them elevate their lives. Please continue, now and forever to keep loving your library. To my friends and former coworkers, I will continue to advocate for you any day and anytime.
