Sitting here studying for STS323, looking over all the notes from our guest lectures on ongoing GM and traditional crop breeding projects NCSU is involved with around the world, trying to memorize all the possible causes of global starvation they are working tirelessly to save us all from. Even from my terrible 10am lecture notes, the amount of compassion that these people have for humanity and concern they have for the future of our environment is overwhelming. Then I take a Facebook break and see all the Food Movement posts complaining about how corrupt and intentionally destructive modern agriculture has become, and it literally makes makes me want to cry a little bit. Its a free country and you can disagree with their science and their policy all you want (they all disagree with one another), but you cannot claim these people are anything shy of saints. *End Rant*
