Sitting here watching the last of One Magic Christmas & I remember this one story every Christmas & I want to share it with you all it may inspire you like it does me every year ! I was living in Canada as now & we came down to Kentucky for A Family Christmas . We were at my Moms , some in the kitchen preparing food , some in Moms bedroom wrapping last minute gifts , & everyone talking at the same time& laughing & love in the air ! Our Mom had gone up town to the store ,to get one of those last minute things she forgot . But when she came thru the door She had this look on her face , like she was on a mission , && a mission it was ! She started to tell us when she got to Shepherdsville , (the town ) she went to pull into the parking lot , when she saw this Family & that when she just stopped telling the story & looked at me & my Sisters ,Joyce & Vivian & told us to just get in the car & go with her ! Se looked at me & said I hope you brought extra money cause we were gonna need it ! & if you knew our Mom , you didnt question , you just follow her lead ! Anyway , we got to the Store ParkingLot & sure enough there was an old travel beaten car a Pontiac I think , & in it a Woman ,3 kids between 13 & 7 & a little one maybe 10mos . The Father was holding a sign that read : I will work for table scraps !!!!! Were from ALBERTA , CANADA ! Came here for a JOB that fell thru !!! I will work hard Momma told us we were gonna give this family a Christmas Miracle ! She looked at me & said this is why I needed the cash ! So we gathered up the cold, hungry & most surprised Family & took them into BIG LOTS & bought them coats , gloves ,boots , toys, diapers even separated the Mom & Dad to get each other a gift to give the other ! We asked if they had anyone that could help . The guy said his Uncle , but they ran out of money before they could get there . It had started to get dark when we got outside , the littlest Boy asked his Dad how Santa was gonna find them for Christmas & I looked at my Mom & said ,Santa was told where they were staying & we had to go to that place ! We filled their gas tank and lead them to the Motel across the InterState Hwy. got them a room for the night & I gave them an extra $150. to get them to the Uncles , it was the BEST CHRISTMAS I ever spent at my Moms , I think it was for my Sisters & Momma too ! I wanted you to know the Heart that lived within my Momma ! I miss you OldGirl & I love you soooo much Merry Christmas Mom !!!!!!!!!
