Sitting here with my egg-nog coffee, surrounded by wrapping paper and toys, listening to the sounds of my children laughing, and A Christmas Story playing on TV. Its a morning of reflection, emotion, and so much gratitude for so many reasons. Christmas morning last year was the day we knew for sure that something was really wrong. Our normally active little toddler was more than just a little sick. She had a fever, no energy, was pale and crabby, had no interest in presents, toys, food...anything. Fast forward to this morning, when our healthy, feisty little girl is taking turns between running around the house with her pants around her knees and sitting not the new Minnie Mouse potty that Santa got her. This year has brought about many challenges...and we know that there are likely more to come. But God has equipped us every step of the way...and we know that He will continue to pave our path with more opportunities to grow as a family and in our faith. Merry Christmas, friends and family. Your love and support has gotten through the very darkest days of the past year. And we are so, so, so grateful.
