Sitting this morning in the living room having my coffee watching - TopicsExpress

Sitting this morning in the living room having my coffee watching things unfold on the front porch, drew me back to when I was young. Back in my days we did not have the technology of producing films the way they do today. Back in the 1940s, 50s, 60s, they used anoles as large lizard type dinosaurs, with crazy stuff tied to their backs and most of the time you could see the stuff sliding off, but they kept right on filming anyway. As I watched 2 VERY LARGE chameleons (we have 2 kinds in Florida, the Cuban anole, they are unable to change their skin color and our own green anole, which can change from brown to green). The two big ones we have on the porch looked to be 7 to 8 inches long, including their tail. They flash their dewlap (or throat fan), they are do this to attach a female or in their case this morning defending their territory, then comes the series of head-bobs and push-ups. Which now that I think about it reminded me a an exercise program that was on another channel…but wait I die-gress…….lol. We have an assortment of plants on the porch, so therefore there is an endless supply of bugs, one anole has the east side and one the west side, I am heard a soft voice talking and who but Debora aka Mother Superior aka Lizzy Borden sitting in her chair smoking talking to them and she is just a bouncing and head bobbing as well, (I think I do need to get her another pet….lol). So now in comes Lady Gray, because she heard her voice, Lady Gray is doing her soft clucking voice, but now she sees the chameleons, there are smaller one down on the floor, so she see “lunch”, so does a racer. Lady Gray’s eye sight being what it is, doesn’t see the racer going after the chameleon, but then all hell breaks loose, Mother Superior thought the poor racer was going after Lady Gray, Lady Gray sees the snake move and the Keystone Kops, once again comes to mine. Well the only one that was lucky was the chameleons that by now, I am sure almost had a heart attack, but it did survive the racer/hen/Mother Superior attack, oh yes and scream from both Mother Superior and Lady Gray, I kind of think probably the snake as well if it could talk…….all in all, a sight to behold. But, I still remember the old science fiction films, many low-budget, quickly-produced, but still we watched them. I loved the special effects created by Ray Harryhausen and short stories by Ray Bradbury, Rod Serling and so many other greats, but I must admit my mind may wander back to the old days, but I am very quickly brought back to today’s world in a very few minutes but things that happen daily around “The Tales From Bithlo”, I do hope you all enjoy your “HUMP DAY” (and watch out for that damn stupid camel walking around the office asking “what day this is”, you all are on your downward swing to the weekend, have a wonderful day.
