Six months after Ki came Addicted, a commercial but heavy album with a fetish for exclamation marks. An album that was inspired by the sugary glee of the Venga Boys and a production directly inspired by a Nickelback album --- by all accounts, Addicted should have been a horrific disaster of an album for any po-faced metal purist. Instead the record sits amongst his best work, producing an entire albums worth of material to match the glorious uplifting qualities of Ocean Machines Life. This is essentially metals Summer Anthems.
